The giant yellow ribbon that twists and loops like a roller coaster through the air will grab your attention even before you reach Yingxi Lake. The “Yellow Ribbon” is a ultra-large steel sculpture commissioned by the Southern Taiwan Science Park for welcoming visitors. It measures 400 meters in length, has a width of 33 meters and is 12 meters high.
Yingxi Lake was so named because it is oriented towards the east and “welcomes the dawn.” There are a number of observation platforms along the lake for admiring and photographing the flowing curves of the Yellow Ribbon. Finding the perfect angle for a unique composition will require a bit of foot work.
